Welcome!

Energy is such an important aspect of all of our lives! I felt the need to create a blog so you can follow along with our studies and our journals as we discover new ways of creating and using alternative healing methods to create health and wellness for our spirit and our physical body.

This all started for me in 2003 after I delivered my first baby at 23 years of age. During the entire pregnancy I was very sick. I was nauseous every waking moment! My mom finally told me about some sleeping pills that were safe enough to take during pregnancy so I talked with my doctor and he told me that it was better for me to be able to eat to feed the baby, than to starve because I couldn't keep anything down.

So, for the last 6 months of my pregnancy I took a sleeping pill first thing when I would wake up in the morning and another right after 12 noon to get through the day. I didn't have the money to stop working so this was all I could do. I was an absolute zombie for the first week and then I became immune to the sleeping effects.

I was finally able to hold food down which really helped save my pregnancy! I had lost so much weight and the baby was taking every nutrient I had.

Finally the baby came and was born healthy and strong.... I thought I was o.k. until a week after I took him home I started to have seizures and convulsions. I called the on call nurse who told me to go to the emergency room. When I arrived, they rushed me into the room, stripped off my clothes and put cold pads all over me to cool me down. At that point I had a fever of 104. I was admitted to the hospital and only my immediate family was allowed to visit.

Here I was laying in a hospital bed with an intense viral infection which I had picked up from the hospital after my delivery and my body was so weak it was unable to fight it.

When I arrived at the emergency room they told me that our bodies have around 10,000 white blood cells to fight off infection and I had only 1,000 left... If I had waited any longer I may not have made it.

I had just had a baby, my first and it should have been such an amazing time for me! Instead I was sick with pain, it was as if my entire body was dying slowly and the doctors did every test imaginable trying to find out how to cure me. I was given Demerol each day which helped to ease the pain but I was not getting any better!

After a week had passed, I received a phone call from an old friend who I had not heard from in years.... She told me she had a feeling to call my parents to find my phone number and they told her I was in the hospital. She called my room and when I picked up the phone I could not believe that someone so far away had thought to call me. I had just received a dose of Demerol so I can't remember the entire conversation but I remember she told me I was loved and that the world needed me so I needed to fight this.

Later that day when I awoke from my drugged sleep a little old man came into my room and asked me if I wanted to have some hot chocolate... I told him I wasn't allowed to eat anything but asked him for some water.... he came over to my bed and handed me a glass of water and gave me a little card.

Inside there were two scriptures from Psalms and a little prayer... he gave me a kiss on the forehead and left.

"When I am afraid I put my trust in Thee. In God I trust." Psalm 56: 3-4

" My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart.... forever." Psalm 73:26

O God, make me conscious of your nearness. Touch my eyes that I may see; open my ears that I may hear your voice; enter my heart that I may know your love. Overshadow my body and my soul with your presence, that I may partake of your strength, your love and your healing power. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I sat the card down and started to cry.... I thought that it was my time to go, I could feel it in every cell of my body that it was giving up.

I closed my eyes and said a prayer for God to forgive me for giving up. I had not prayed the entire time I was there to ask for help. I told him that if it was my time to go that it was o.k. and I was ready, but if there were things I still needed to do, I asked if he would heal me and to bless the doctors to know what to do.

That night I slept through the night without having to call the nurse for more medication for pain. I awoke the next day feeling alive and mostly myself. The doctor came in as they do everyday and took 20 blood samples and left.... They came back later that morning to tell me that I was well enough to go home!

I was so ecstatic I called my husband to come and get me.... he was shocked that I sounded happy and that I was actually able to come home and see my little boy as well! I had sure missed them!

I thank God every day for that experience! I not only believe in the power of prayer but I believe that prayer is an energy that encapsulates us. It brings down the God energy to heal our bodies and our spirits!

I am a believer in the power of energy! Not only the God/prayer energy but the energy surrounding our body and in our world! If we could only see what types of energy surround us we would be more careful what we do, what we say, what we listen to and who our friends are.

Energy is very powerful, if not the most powerful thing on earth!

Please join us as we find ways to create good energy and to find ways of helping those who need it the most as I did that day in the hospital. My friend and her words/prayers along side a small act of kindness was enough for me to realize I had the power all along to heal myself, all I had to do was ask God for some help!

Remember to Never give up, Never give in, and always search for an answer.... even though it may not be where you thought!

Peace and Blessings,

Niesja Sharp
